Steph has been busy taking classes, meeting with profs, and writing papers in order to attain her doctorate. Frankly I think it’s her big kid way of solidifying a nickname (Dr.) and maintaining some superiority over me. Either way this process has led to her neglecting more than just this blog. Instead of dishes, laundry, and checking in on how my day was she chooses research, reading, and reference pages. To alleviate her stress I offered to do her laundry. I had made it halfway through when I discovered a bag of microwave popcorn still in its plastic. I was flooded with confusion and concern until I texted her this picture asking if she’d like to explain herself. She simply replied “ahhh I knew I was missing one.” She’s hit a new low, then again I’m doing her laundry in hopes of creating more “us time.”
